Corona Cares™ Provides Tools for Home of the Innocents

‘PLANET Gives Back’ Project at GIC2013 in Louisville, KY

Corona CaresCorona, CA, October 17, 2013— Corona Cares™ again demonstrates our commitment to making a difference in the world, one person and one tool at a time. Corona® has donated a wide selection of essential Corona tools to the ‘2013 PLANET Gives Back’ volunteer project in Louisville, KY on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013.

Through PLANET Gives Back, landscape professionals who are attending PLANET’s GIC (Green Industry Conference) have the opportunity to donate an afternoon of service to Louisville’s Home of the Innocents, a 130-year-old nonprofit shelter and pediatric convalescent center that provides services to children facing severe crises.

The goal for ‘PLANET Gives Back’ is to provide a positive impact for the host city of the annual GIC and the GIE+EXPO slated for the same week. Volunteers will have the opportunity to use donated Corona® shovels, rakes, hand tools, pruners and new shovels to plant trees, complete irrigation projects, and clean up the butterfly garden, playground, and general landscape at the Home of the Innocents.

Corona® has been making garden, landscape and agricultural tools since the 1920s that help enthusiasts and professionals care for their environments. In keeping with the tradition of helping others, the Corona Cares™ program was developed to demonstrate our corporate social responsibility.

For more information about the tools, company or Corona Cares™, visit the online Corona pressroom.
